PORTS
port of santa fe
Port of Santa Fé
Located in an Artificial River Canal at 584 km. of the Paraná River
Geographic: South Latitude - 31 ° 39 'West Longitude - 60 ° 42'
The port of Santa Fe, located at the km 584 of the Paraná river, used to be an active centre of grain exports. Unfortunately due to the embankment of the access channel, although dredging works have been carried out recently, the port is practically unoperative for ocean going ships.
port of diamante
Port of Diamante
The port of Diamante is located at km 533 of the Paraná river, left margin, in the province of Entre Ríos.
There is only one loading berth for bulk grains available, managed by Messrs Cargill. From this port/terminal following goods are usually exported: wheat, maize, sorghum and soya beans at a loading rate of about 9.000 mt
every 12 hours ex silo which is able to operate by a maximum of two gangs simultaneously. The silo has a storage capacity of about 80.000 mt.
The normal working periods are: Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1900 hrs and Saturdays from 0700 to 1300 hrs. Overtime working periods: any other period out of the above mentioned ones.
Restrictions: maximum permitted l.o.a. is 230 m and the maximum sailing draft must be checked prior fixing, as the river level varies on daily basis.
port of SAN LORENZO
PORT OF SAN LORENZO
It includes the area of Timbues, Puerto General San Martín and San Lorenzo Port. It is located between Km 466 and Km 441 of the Parana river. All the terminals are on the right side of the river.
Maize, wheat, soya beans, sorghum, sunflower seed, sunflower seed pellets, soya bean pellets, soya bean meals and other bulk agricultural products and/or by-products, as well as vegetable oil, are exported from most of the terminals described in this section, Facilities to discharge fertilizers are available too. All those dedicated to grains/grain products are cliff type berths and commodities are loaded ex silo, via conveyor belts/chutes system.
The normal working hours of the port are: Mondays to Fridays from 0600 to 1200 hr and Saturdays from 0600 to 1200 hr. Overtime working periods: any other period out of the above mentioned ones can be ordered on account of the party ordering the extra time, provided cargo availability.
The maximum sailing draft from each berth is daily informed by the Coast Guard,
as it permanently varies due to the variations on the river level.

Grains/Byproducts:
There are three loading berths ex-silos on the Quequén city side of the river:
• Pier 1 SITIO 0 terminal
• Pier 3 ACA Elevator
• Pier 4/5 Terminal Quequén S.A.
• Pier 6 Terminal Quequén S.A.
• Pier 10
• Pier 12 Pier Doce S.A. Terminal
The loading rate is about 7.000/9.000 mt every six hours shift.
The normal working time is mondays to fridays 0700/1300 hours and 1300/1900 hours, saturdays 0700/1300 hours.
The sailing draft is 13,40 m / 13,50 m brackish water, density about 1018.
Length overall restriction: 230 m.
Important: Necochea / Quequén port is often closed by the port authority on account the prevailing southern/southeastern heavy swell. On this basis, we strongly recommend to Owners and Charterers to insert the Necochea Swell Clause in the ruling charter party. There are two open berths which basically are employed for discharging fertilizers and also for loading bypducts and vegoils. These are pier 1 and pier 10.

port of bahia blanca
Port of Bahía Blanca
The port is located close to the city of Bahia Blanca, on the southern Atlantic coast of the Buenos Aires province, on the northern side of the Bahía Blanca inlet. It is the second port in importance, regarding grain exports in Argentina, after San Lorenzo.
The port complex, that includes Ingeniero White and Puerto Galván ports, is managed by the Consorcio de Gestión del Puerto de Bahía Blanca. Puerto Rosales and Puerto Belgrano are also located in the Bahía Blanca inlet but they are not managed by the above mentioned company. Puerto Rosales is mainly used by pilot boats, small crafts and fishing vessels. Puerto Belgrano is the principal Argentine Navy base, which offers dry-docking facilities for commercial ships. The Bahía Blanca inlet also homes two SPM buoys, anchored close to Puerto Rosales, one off Punta Ancla and the other off Punta Cigueña.

port of montevideo
Port of MONTEVIDEO (Uruguay)
The port of Montevideo is located on the River Plate mouth, left margin, and is the port of the capital city of the República Oriental del Uruguay. The port has been built inside of a bay that shelters the installation. Basically the port can be divided in two sections: one, on the eastern side of the bay, is dedicated to the dry cargo, containers and passengers vessels; the second one on the northwestern side, called La Teja, is the oil and gas terminal. The Montevideo entrance channel is dredged to 11,50 m at zero datum.
-The available berths for dry cargo/containers and passengers are the following, from west to east:
