Port of Zárate
There are five terminals at this port, all located on the right side of the Paraná de las Palmas river. Geographically
described from west to east are:
Terminal Las Palmas:
This grain terminal, built at KM 107 is operated by Messrs. Molca (Molinos Cañuelas).The premises include a secondary berth used for coastal trading vessels including container shuttles.

Vitco:
The terminal owned and operated by Messrs. Vitco, is specifically employed for oil and chemicals products
loading and discharging. Is located at KM 112,6 of the Paraná de las Palmas river. There are two berths, one for ocean going tankers and the other for small coasters. Maximum l.o.a. for ocean going vessels is 230 m. Storage
capacity about 182.000 cbm.
Discharge rate about 500/1400 cbm/hour depending on vessel´s pumps capacity and type of cargo.
TZ Terminales Portuarias:
Located at KM 111 of the Paraná de las Palmas river, this terminals is basically employed
for containers and car carriers vessels and can accommodate ships up to 230 m l.o.a.
Zárate Port S.A.:
located at KM 110,2 is not operative due to a collapse of the river´s coast.
Puerto Piapsa:
This multipurpose general cargo terminal is located at Km 104 of the Paraná de las Palmas river.
